Stewarts Point 25:39 Fin Echo Bay is a popular spot for winter season RV campers and plenty of boaters use the launch year round. Finding an empty land yacht slip is not easy to do during the peak season, so making campsite reservations is something to keep in mind when making plans. For those who do car & tent camping, there are usually plenty of open spots in the developed campgrounds. There also is a free dispersed camping area a few miles away at Stewarts Point. The Echo Bay Marina offers repair services, sales and rentals, so making a Lake Mead aquatic excursion happen is easy to do. Echo Bay most definitely is a great choice for a day trip destination. This spot boasts one of the most picturesque shorelines in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the steep mountains literally rise up from the water. There is also a vast dry mud wash canyon that runs downhill to the bay that is exciting to explore. The eroded sedimentary rock formations poking out of the water on the north side of the bay look surreal in this desert landscape and a tiny island is within easy swimming distance. Echo Bay certainly is a picturesque spot and some of the best fishing is found in these deep waters. Lake Mead is famous for record breaking Striped Bass and trolling from a boat is the best way to land a big trophy for dinner. For those who simply want to relax, splash around and have fun in the sun, be sure to chalk Echo Bay high on the list!

New!
Destination West YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/@DestinationWestOrg *The Destination West website upgrading project is well underway. Unique YouTube slideshows are replacing the outdated Flickr photo galleries. The new videos feature modern graphics and alternative music instrumentals that enhance the viewing experience. Some articles are being condensed, while others are getting much needed edits. As everybody knows, the bulk of the original articles and photos were published on the fly during the Covid camping venture and there were limitations. Upgrading is the way to go and more articles will receive a makeover each week until this project is completed. After that, I will be able to gather new material. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
