Hiking and biking trails, along with peaceful campgrounds await in the deep woods, while even the roadside scenic overlooks offer plenty of interesting things to do. The Palisades Viewpoint is one such spot and it is conveniently located on the White Pass Scenic Byway, which is a major Mt Rainier tourism corridor. This overlook features a unique geological area where basalt lava flows crystalized as vertical hexagonal columns. The Palisades Viewpoint is a great little picnic spot for taking a break from the road and the rock formations are breathtaking to see, so be sure to take the time to check it out!

Unique YouTube slideshows are replacing the outdated Flickr photo galleries. The new videos feature modern graphics and alternative music instrumentals that enhance the viewing experience. Some articles are being condensed, while others are getting much needed edits. As everybody knows, the bulk of the original articles and photos were published on the fly during the Covid camping venture and there were limitations. Upgrading is the way to go and more articles will receive a makeover each week until this project is completed. After that, I will be able to gather new material. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
