The second Spring Mountains November Time Lapse video features interesting high desert cloud formations, sunsets and night sky scenes. A music soundtrack is embedded to enhance the viewing experience. This collection of time lapse clips covers the second week of November and the daytime cloud activity was a little bit more intense than the previous week. The wild horses also appeared again while filming and they can be viewed in the very last scene! Pacific northwest storms brought plenty of overcast, which unfortunately cleared up near sunset for a few days, so the color of the entire sky was not blazing like it was in the previous Spring Mountains video. During the humble sunset evenings I did let the time lapse roll on into the twilight hours for the sake of entertainment value. Every clip in this video was processed inside the camera with the time lapse video function. For sunsets I set the interval to 2 seconds so time progresses slow enough to enjoy the colors. Toward the end of the blue hour when the sunset colors fade for the last time, I shut the camera off and quickly change to a 4 to 7 second interval. This enables the video to progress at a faster rate into the dark sky arena. This also makes the jet trails move faster and they certainly are interesting to view. Filming time lapse at night often reveals mysterious happenings in the sky. This is especially true in the high desert, because there are so many military bases in this region. There are secret testing grounds out there too. Not every strange sighting in the sky is an airliner, satellite or meteor. The super fast moving long blue streak that was captured last summer reappears in a few clips in the November series. Strange lights can be seen in the night sky scenes throughout this video and they definitely are something to ponder over. As of November 19 enough time lapse footage was gathered for a third video in this series. The third week was when the storm clouds became very intense. This was fortunate because the weather forecast now calls for clear skies through Thanksgiving. The third edition of this series will be uploaded soon, so be sure to stay tuned!

New!
Destination West YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/@DestinationWestOrg *The Destination West website upgrading project is well underway. Unique YouTube slideshows are replacing the outdated Flickr photo galleries. The new videos feature modern graphics and alternative music instrumentals that enhance the viewing experience. Some articles are being condensed, while others are getting much needed edits. As everybody knows, the bulk of the original articles and photos were published on the fly during the Covid camping venture and there were limitations. Upgrading is the way to go and more articles will receive a makeover each week until this project is completed. After that, I will be able to gather new material. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
