When the extreme heat of summer finally subsides in the late autumn season, this is when the schedule of big outdoor events begin in Las Vegas. The First Friday Festival Of The Arts draws bigger crowds when the evening temperatures are comfortable and the outdoor concerts happen on a weekly basis. The Las Vegas Pride Parade is one of the most popular big events that takes place each fall and to put it mildly, this extravagant rainbow festival is nothing but fabulous! The Las Vegas Pride Parade takes place in the month of October. For those who plan to attend, be sure to check the Las Vegas Pride website for the scheduled events, which usually offer a full week of activities with the parade being the main event. In the past, the Las Vegas Pride Parade has drawn participants from all neighboring states, so this big parade is quite an extravaganza to experience. Some of the wildest, funniest and most colorful floats that can be imagined all roll down the street and the participants put on quite an amazing show as well! Smiles can be seen everywhere and the atmosphere definitely is festive. Rainbow colors glow from horizon to horizon. Colorful floats roll down the street and many have risqué alternative themes that would not exactly be acceptable in a conservative Thanksgiving Parade back east. The Pride Parade enables members of the community to let it all hang out while promoting equality, solidarity and harmony, with few limitations. The Las Vegas Pride Parade really does take the cake, as far as creativity goes! The slogans, signs and recitations send positive messages of equality and hope for a world without hate. Because Las Vegas has a reputation of being a city where anything goes, there is plenty of artistic talent to be found here. A lot of hard work goes into making the parade event happen and the onlookers certainly are thoroughly entertained. Of course an event like the Pride Parade would be nothing if it were not for the thousands of onlookers showing up to see the procession. Celebrating freedom of choice and civil liberties is always a good thing, so be sure pack a bottle of water to stay hydrated, wear some rainbow colors and show some support for the community at the fabulous Las Vegas Pride Parade!

New!
Destination West YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/@DestinationWestOrg *The Destination West website upgrading project is well underway. Unique YouTube slideshows are replacing the outdated Flickr photo galleries. The new videos feature modern graphics and alternative music instrumentals that enhance the viewing experience. Some articles are being condensed, while others are getting much needed edits. As everybody knows, the bulk of the original articles and photos were published on the fly during the Covid camping venture and there were limitations. Upgrading is the way to go and more articles will receive a makeover each week until this project is completed. After that, I will be able to gather new material. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
